Attention:

The US Food and Drug Administration issued a recall on Valsartan and Valsartan HCTZ. Not all manufacturers were affected, however. Cardiovascular Consultants advises all patients currently taking one of these prescribed medications to contact your pharmacy to see whether or not your medication is from one of the affected manufacturers.

  1. If your medication is not from one of the affected manufacturers, please continue your dose without interruption.
  2. If your medication is affected, your pharmacy should replace your medication with a new bottle from an approved source.
  3. If your pharmacy does not have replacement medication from an unaffected manufacturer, please contact our office for an alternative treatment plan.

For more information regarding the recall, please refer to the US FDA website.
