American Lung Association Announces 2008 Asthma Walk Chairman

Dr. Andrei Damian helps raise money for those who struggle to breathe

(Phoenix, AZ) – The American Lung Association of Arizona is proud to announce that Dr. Andrei Damian of Cardiovascular Consultants, Ltd. will serve as the 2008 Honorary Chairman of the annual Blow the Whistle on Asthma Walk. “It is an honor to accept this position and to be a part of such a great event,” said Andrei Damian, M.D., president of Cardiovascular Consultants Ltd. “With asthma affecting so many people, it is important that funding be found to complete the necessary research that leads to better treatments or possibly a cure.”

The 2008 Phoenix Asthma Walk will take place at Scottsdale Civic Center on April 5, 2008. Proceeds benefit: Camp Not-A-Wheeze, the American Lung Association’s summer camp for children with moderate to severe asthma; Asthma Clinical Research Centers, where large clinical trials are conducted that will provide useful information about asthma and benefit patients directly; and, local community education programs impacting Arizonans everyday.
